Luxury Villas in Spain
Contents
Spanish villas have traditionally been popular among buyers from all over the world. Our catalog features thousands of villas for sale for different budgets. In the listings, you can always find an unusual property or a luxurious option at a reasonable price. Today we want to present two complexes of Spanish elite villas that are currently under construction (from €5,000/m²) and are located at two different poles of Spain. One is in Marbella, the “Spanish Las Vegas,” the heart of Andalusia on the country’s southern coast, with views of Gibraltar and the northern coast of Africa. The other is in the Catalan town of Begur, in the northeast of the country, in the province of Girona, an hour’s drive from France, where it’s cooler and quieter.
In other words, both properties are united by high construction quality and standard of living, despite being located in completely different regions. Read on to learn more!
1. Mansions de Banús

First, we present to you the under-construction complex Mansions de Banús in Marbella. This city is the capital of glamorous life and one of the most expensive places in Spain.
Puerto Banus is located 4 kilometers from Marbella, and between the two cities lies the famous “Golden Mile.”
As Spanish philosopher José Ortega y Gasset wrote, the Spanish south, like its inhabitants, is full of peace, tenderness and relaxation. All these qualities, multiplied by the high standard of living and service in Marbella, make it an ideal place to live and vacation for those who can afford it.

The complex will consist of eight villas, which the developer describes as a “premium architectural complex” with a gated territory, beautiful gardens and sea views, located within walking distance of the world-famous Puerto Banus. All villas are carefully planned to ensure maximum privacy. The territory is guarded 24 hours a day year-round, which is important for owners who are absent for long periods or use the property seasonally. Residents of the urbanization enjoy a high level of comfort combined with perfect location, security and privacy in one of Europe’s most prestigious locations — with the unique charm and unhurried rhythm of life of southern Spain.

The villa areas are from 1,000 m², plots are from 2,000 m², plus about 500 m² of open and covered terraces. By the way, in Spain it’s difficult to find private detached villas with decent land plots in the coastal zone. Such large plots are characteristic of villas in the mountains, countryside or fincas and masías built for growing fruits or other crops. Therefore, a 2,000 m² plot in such a prestigious coastal location is an undeniable advantage of the complex.
The developer positions Mansions de Banús as housing for rest and relaxation, so special attention is paid to appropriate infrastructure. Spacious roof terraces are provided here, and each villa has its own spa area (sauna, hammam, indoor pool), relaxation areas and gym. An elevator connects the underground parking with the two floors of the villa.
The houses in Mansions de Banús preserve the features of a classic Mediterranean villa with its proportions, galleries, patios and terraces. Panoramic windows, glass doors and balustrades are widely used throughout, providing natural lighting during the day and impressive views at night. Spacious living rooms, bedrooms, terraces, barbecue area, wine bar, dining areas and viewing platforms — each villa has all the necessary amenities for family vacation or full private life. In the basement (400 m²), the owner can order the design of a home cinema or wine cellar. All these advantages are emphasized by the use of modern technology. The villa is designed to let nature into the house at the push of a button, creating outdoor living space.
The shape of terraces, character and style of the plot, pool location and other details of exterior and interior vary, so potential owners can choose the most suitable option for themselves. Prices for villas in this complex start from €5,530,000.

Marbella and Puerto Banus are famous for their beach and nightlife, among other attractions.
The center of Puerto Banus and the port itself can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. Marbella and Puerto Banus attract elite from all over the world, so neighborliness with a famous footballer or Hollywood star is commonplace here.

Everything necessary for a full life is here. Beaches, restaurants and bars of the highest level (many are Michelin-starred), nightclubs, boutiques, international schools and medical centers — all within walking distance. Enjoy the hospitality of southern Spain and the mentality of the “happy Andalusian,” which no other region can offer. Near Mansions de Banús are some of Spain’s best golf courses, horse riding schools, tennis clubs, as well as the famous Puerto Banus marina.
Currently (July 2021), the villas are in the final stage of construction. Several options remain to choose from. Interior finishing will be carried out by the developer individually for each owner according to the chosen design.
2. Greenery, hills and beach: Villas de Begur

Let’s leave hot Andalusia and move to the northeast — to the much more business-oriented and politically active Catalonia. Here we find Villas de Begur — a premium village on the Costa Brava, in the province of Girona, near the town of Begur.
This is a popular area and picturesque corner of nature: a modern residential complex, cozily located on a hill above a quiet bay surrounded by century-old pine forests. The villas are built on the coastal slopes of Sa Riera bay and boast sea views. Unlike arid Andalusia, the climate here is milder and the area is immersed in greenery. By the way, the water on the Costa Brava can be even slightly warmer than on the Andalusian Costa del Sol coast.

They say that in northern Spain people are more active and ambitious, especially in Barcelona, Girona and other major cities. Spaniards love to visit this area year-round, not just in season: tourists often come to Begur in spring, before the high season begins, to wander through narrow Catalan streets and places associated with Salvador Dalí, and enjoy a glass of wine in cozy local bars. It’s no coincidence that legendary flamenco dancer Carmen Amaya fell in love with the surroundings of Begur and moved here to live. Yes, flamenco dance, so popular in Andalusia, actually has its roots here.

In total, the gated community Villas de Begur will have 17 villas — one of the largest projects in this category on the Costa Brava. The first phase of five villas, two of which are already sold and three are presented on the market, is now being completed (delivery at the end of 2021), followed by the second phase, completion of which is planned for the second half of 2022.
Due to the complex rocky terrain, the developer spent about two years preparing the site for construction. This approach made it possible to provide magnificent views. Hence another “feature” of the complex — basement spaces literally carved into the rock. This is a large open space that can be designed as desired (gym, home cinema, wine cellar, etc.).
All houses are built in a unified style and concept, with modern design but with reference to historical buildings of Catalonia — a combination of modern forms, large windows and exterior finishing typical for the Costa Brava. There are also some variations in area, finishing and layouts, so buyers can select a villa to suit their needs. Villa areas range from 295 m² to 327 m², plots — from 540 m² to 750 m². Prices start from €1,965,000. Villas of the next phase will be located at the foot of the hill, at a lower level.

The complex has a demonstration villa with a pool and fully landscaped adjacent territory. There you can get acquainted with the village, admire the views, take a closer look at the premises, imagine yourself in a new home, evaluate flooring, utility layouts, finishing quality, etc. For each villa put up for sale, a budget is provided within which the developer is ready to make changes without additional payment — for example, replace appliances or flooring (tile or wood), furniture, decor, etc. The future owner also has the opportunity to make changes beyond the basic budget, choosing more expensive equipment or special equipment, replacing materials and hardware with payment of the difference.
Villas de Begur are suitable for both summer and permanent residence. Enjoying the privacy of a private villa in a unique location, you will appreciate the advantages of luxurious living. The Villas de Begur territory is guarded 24 hours a day, the village has a landscaped promenade and areas for beach and sports recreation. The value of all the above is emphasized by the location in a unique corner of Girona province, one of the most sought-after areas of the Costa Brava.

The sea is just 350 meters away. The villas are located on a hill, but the developer has taken care of the comfort of future owners. One interesting feature is the ability to call a shuttle to the beach through a mobile app. It’s planned that shuttles will run to the beach about once an hour so residents can allow themselves a glass of wine by the sea.
This is truly a unique place in northeastern Catalonia. You fall in love with it at first sight — an abundance of greenery, beautiful rocky shores and white sand. It will definitely suit lovers of a calm lifestyle without fuss and rush. Within a few minutes’ drive is all the necessary infrastructure for living, recreation, sports, entertainment and cultural leisure. This also allows year-round living, as it certainly won’t be boring. The provincial capital Girona and its international airport are just an hour’s drive away. The border with France and its picturesque coastal towns are an hour and a half away. Want to ski in the mountains? A couple of hours and you’re there! A magnificent place for comfortable and peaceful living with the opportunity to explore the world in Catalan style.
Buying new housing in Spain has always been considered a more profitable investment than purchasing secondary real estate. With the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, this trend has only intensified: it’s expected that in the coming years the local market may face a shortage of new housing due to reduced construction licenses issued. At the same time, demand for new complexes remains consistently high, and the cost of work has increased, which will soon be reflected in prices. That’s why we recommend our clients consider buying at the start of sales of a specific urbanization while it’s still under construction. This way you get a lower price, wide selection, installment payment options and a chance to change the layout or finishing to your taste. Don’t forget that owning real estate in Spain is grounds for obtaining a residence permit in the country, and therefore — permission to enter through closed borders.
