Warren Buffett Spain

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, which entered the Spanish market in 2019, has made Spain a priority destination for its expansion and announced the opening of 40 new offices over the next ten years by acquiring already operating agencies.
Warren Buffett’s real estate division, which has 1,500 offices and more than 50,000 agents worldwide, will focus growth in Spain on the Mediterranean coast, the Balearic and Canary Islands, acquiring existing agencies that possess “expert knowledge of the local market and share the company’s values.”
Currently, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Spain operates in Madrid, Barcelona, and Marbella.
The company, which demonstrated 35% growth last year, forecasts a 30% increase in turnover by the end of 2021.
Bruno Rabassa, CEO and founder of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices in Spain, notes that the pandemic has changed social and work habits.
“We spend much more time in our homes than before the emergence of Covid-19, and this has become a key factor that prompted Spanish citizens to discover the shortcomings of their housing and make the decision to move,” adds the executive.
