Idealista real estate portal has published a top of a hundred most expensive locations to buy a home in Spain in the second quarter of 2021. According to the list, the most "luxury locations" can be found in the Balearic Islands, Barcelona, Malaga and Alicante. The most expensive municipality was Benahavis.

In this resort town near Málaga, the average cheque for the purchase of real estate reaches € 1.5 million. Second place goes to the municipality of Calvia on the west of Mallorca (€ 1,081,932). The third is Marbella.

Compared to the first quarter of 2021, Tarragona (€216,200, +12 positions), La Manga and San Javier (€2164,507, +8 positions for each) made the biggest leap up to the top 100.
