Half of Benidorm's InTempo skyscraper apartments are sold, including the two most expensive ones

The spectacular Intempo building in Benidorm, which is the tallest residence in Europe, has 256 homes already sold, including the two most expensive worth two million euros each
The spectacular Intempo building, which is the tallest residential complex in Europe, has sold 256 of its apartments, including the two most expensive worth two million euros each. These two flats are located in the central part of the building, in the so-called Diamante, and the keys were already handed in.

InTempo is one of the symbols of the real estate bubble and one of the best examples of the brutal changes that the construction sector has undergone in recent years... A skyscraper designed in the heat of the upward cycle, a project paralysed by the bankruptcy of a developer, a sale of the half-finished building to an investment fund and a refurbishment that will finally break the curse and bring the initial project back to life.

This story has been repeated over and over again in Spain, but this time the main subject is one of the most famous buildings on the Mediterranean coast: at 198 metres high, InTempo is the tallest residential skyscraper in Europe.

Located on Benidorm's west beach, the building is currently undergoing a facelift to bring the properties up to date with current demand. That was the decision taken by the SVP Global fund, owner of the building since the end of 2017.

Its previous owner was Sareb, which had the property in its portfolio since 2012, when it acquired the 108 million euro loan that Caixa Galicia had granted to the developer Olga Urbana to build the residential building. But this developer went bankrupt in 2014 and left the project unfinished.

After taking over the asset for around 60 million euros, the SVP Global fund took a step forward with the project in the summer of 2018, when it began negotiating with the developer Uniq Residential to finish the building and complete the initial objective: to erect the tallest residential skyscraper in Europe.

Despite having marketed half of the property, the developer still has homes available. The cheapest item for sale costs 263,000 euros (including parking space), has 75 m2, two bedrooms and a terrace, and is located on the fifth floor, while there are mid-priced two-bedroom properties with 75-90 m2 for around 400,000 euros, located on the 25th floor of the skyscraper.
The InTempo building is a unique property for its privileged location next to the exclusive Playa de Poniente. This uniqueness is further enhanced by its contemporary art deco architecture, and the quality and warmth of the materials used; in addition to the original design of its interiors. Not to be forgotten are the views that are enjoyed from its apartments; all within the maximum privacy that they each offer. Its unique lifestyle is highlighted by the high level and quantity of community services to which all owners have access to and for the variety and originality of its common areas.
